🍝 The typical dishes are *Rice, potatoes and mussels*, *Spaghetti alla Sangiuannina* made with Apulian cherry tomatoes, *Focaccia* high and soft traditional or low and delicious Barese, *Carne di cavallo*, a "must" for the Apulians, especially in the form of strips or chops and, of course, *dairy products*, with the Andria burrata made 10km from Trani and the handmade mozzarella every day. Then there are the *taralli*, the "snack" of before they invented snacks. You can find them in all the ovens, at all hours, but the best ones are the ones we recommend at the bottom.
👩🍳👨🍳 In Trani there are two starred restaurants (Quintessence and Casa Sgarra), some excellent restaurants (Gallo, Corteinfiore, Le lampare al fortino, Ognissanti, Pescandalo and Il pomelograno, just a few steps from our b& b) and then many simple and traditional places (such as La casalinga or Manima). For these more true, follow the instinct and smell in the narrow streets around the b& b.
🫓 If you want to buy *taralli and freshly made dairy products* we recommend you go to the Caseificio Maldera in Via Bovio 39. He doesn't pay us commissions, but he will treat you with regard if you say you are our guests. We selected them after a long search because they make dairy products by hand: always fresh and transportable on the road. The best focaccia is bread crumbs.
